Flooring Services of Texas LP is getting a design with 96,500 sf of warehouse space, an 18,000-sf office and 12,000-sf design gallery. The project will take up about half of an eight-acre tract earmarked for the firm's use.

Jack Easter, president of Flooring Services, tells GlobeSt.com that 14 acres in the 60-acre Legacy Park, situated at the intersection of Fallbrook Drive and Sam Houston Parkway, have been sold to an apartment developer. The balance of the land will remain banked. Easter says there are no plans for the land, except to be able to control what developments will spring up around its operation. The owner services residential and commercial customers.

Cadence McShane Corp. of Dallas is the general contractor for the 126,500-sf building, set to deliver in April. The single-story building is a tilt-wall construction with 38 dock doors, a curved entryway and large windows for natural lighting in the design center. The Cadence McShane team consists of Craig Hudeck, project executive; Dan Collins, project manager; and Tim Bussart, superintendent. Pross Design Group Inc. of Dallas was the architect.

Easter's operation presently leases 36,000 sf of warehouse and design space in several buildings in the Garden Oaks Business Center at 335 Garden Oaks Blvd. "We're looking forward to maximizing our operational efficiencies by consolidating ... into one comprehensive and convenient facility," he says in a press release.
