HealthyPets Takes 45,000-SF R&D Site

UNION CITY, CA-HealthyPets has acquired a 2.3-acre property here with a 45,735-sf R&D building on it from Ajax United Patterns & Molds Inc. The sale price was $3.4 million. HealthyPets intends to use the building, located at 34501 7th St., as its corporate headquarters.

Bob Ferraro and Dan Bergen of Colliers International represented HealthyPets in the transaction. John Weatherby and Josh Amoroso with Cornish & Carey Commercial represented Ajax United Patterns & Molds.

“This is one of the highest image projects in Union City,” says Ferraro. “There is continued interest among companies to purchase new and functional buildings, with a certain image, that provide ample parking and trucking space. Beyond these aspects, the draw for HealthyPets was its location in the new Union City RDC District and its close proximity to BART.”
