Metro Council Picks Land Use Committee

ST. PAUL-The 18 members will advise the regional planning council on land use and planning issues for the seven counties. The group, representing each council district, will be led by Tom Egan.

ST. PAUL-The Metropolitan Council has named 18 members to a land use advisory committee to aid with development and planning that significantly impacts the metro.

The committee is required to include at least 17 members, one from each council district, and additional members needed to ensure representation in each of the seven counties, and a chair. At least half of the members must be local elected officials. The committee will meet monthly. The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the seven-county metropolitan area.
