The company selected Peachtree City largely because a sister firm, Cooper Lighting with a staff of 700, is also based here. The company makes wiring products, switches and plugs for commercial, industrial and residential use. Cooper Wiring Devices is a subsidiary of Houston-based Cooper Industries Ltd.
