Cooper Wiring Plans $6M HQ Building

ATLANTA-The Long Island, NY-based electrical-products manufacturer expects to complete an estimated 150,000-sf corporate headquarters building in fourth-quarter 2004 in suburban Peachtree City, GA.

ATLANTA-Cooper Wiring Devices, a Long Island, NY-based electrical-products manufacturer, is relocating its corporate headquarters to suburban Peachtree City, GA where the company expects to complete an estimated 150,000-sf, $6-million building in fourth quarter 2004, area retail brokers familiar with the move tell GlobeSt.com.

The company selected Peachtree City largely because a sister firm, Cooper Lighting with a staff of 700, is also based here. Cooper Wiring expects to hire a staff of 115 for its new location where the company’s estimated annual payroll will be $6.5 million, brokers in a position to know tell GlobeSt.com.
