He will be responsible for accessing a wide network of capital providers to place commercial real estate debt and equity for Welsh Capital clients.

Simek was hired for his extensive commercial real estate, entrepreneurial and financing experience, especially in the acquisition, financing and sales of multi-unit housing projects, according to officials at Welsh Capital. He shares ownership of over five sites and 400 units and is an active member of the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of St. Paul's Business Review Council.

He has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

Welsh Capital, which has originated over $300 million of commercial debt since its inception in 1999, provides a variety of creative mortgage financing services for developers, owners and investors of commercial real estate.
