The vacant building, positioned on about an acre at 12930 Northwest Freeway, will be retrofitted so occupancy can take place in April. The credit union, with more than 6,000 members and $35 million in assets, headquarters in Williams Tower at 2800 Post Oak Blvd. alongside one of its main clients, the Tulsa, OK-based Williams Cos.

Travis Land in the Houston office of NAI Partners Commercial says the 6,000-sf purchase is an expansion and won't end in a headquarters relocation. He and NAI Partners' Dan F. Boyles Jr. and John Ferruzzo represented the credit union, which looked at buying ready-made product as well as land for a build-to-suit. The credit union beat out at least three others vying for the asset.

Land says the building is being outfitted with a drive-through lane, ATM machines and interior changes. Kal Drooby of Kal Drooby Realtors of Houston represented the seller, the Rami Women's Clinic, which shuttered the building several months ago.
