The investment firm will relocate from 1301 Avenue of the Americas, where it occupies approximately 29,000 sf.

Cushman & Wakefield's Stuart Romanoff, executive vice president, Amy Fox, director, and David Rowley, associate, represented Apollo in negotiations with the landlord, Solow Building Co. and Tyco. The building owner was repped by CB Richard Ellis, led by Stephen Siegel, who is a longtime advisor to the building. Romanoff says Apollo received a high-quality deal. "The building is one of the most prestigious and best managed properties in Manhattan, the build-out is spectacular and the views from the tower floors overlooking Central Park are incomparable," he says.

Designed by architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill for developer Sheldon H. Solow, 9 West 57th St. was completed in 1971. A prominent feature is its unobstructed views of Central Park. Other tenants include Banc of America Securities, MBNA, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Chanel, Toyota and Cendant.
