Housing Honcho Heads to New Organization

WASHINGTON, DC-The National Housing Conference’s loss has become the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials’ gain. NHC director of public policy and communications, John Bohm, has decided to depart after a four-year stint to head up NAHRO’s legislative programs and media department. Two individuals will now take over Bohm’s position. NHC policy development manager Maria Fiore will become the new director of policy, while communications manager Michele Anapol will take on the role of director of communications.

Bohm, a longtime force in the housing industry, came to NHC from his position as the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s deputy assistant secretary for legislation. Prior to his turn in government, he spent eight years as the national Affordable Housing Management Associaton’s executive director. He was best known at NHC for developing the annual Senior Executive Roundtable series. “We want to extend a sincere thank you to John Bohm for his distinguished, and respected contributions to NHC, and for his overall commitment to furthering the affordable housing dialogue at the national, state and local levels,” NHC chairman G. Allan Kingston says of Bohm’s departure.
