Located on a 5.57-acre at 2365 Oak Ridge Way, the building encompasses a total of 70,253 sf. It was built in 1998 by Ismeca, which has been operating in San Diego since 1988. Ismeca used the facility to develop and manufacture automated assembly lines for medical and biomedical diagnostic devices, which is another of the firm's specialties. Company officials decided to sell the asset when they relocated Ismeca's engineering and production operations back to Switzerland. Despite the recent relocation, Ismeca will retain a presence in the United States through its sales, service and applications divisions, which will still operate offices in the San Diego area.

Ismeca was represented by Kelly Nicholls of BRE Commercial and eRealty Commercial in the recent transaction. Buyer JMB Partners LLC was represented by Don Grant, who is also with BRE Commercial.

The new user of the Oak Ridge Way facility is McCain Traffic Supply, according to a BRE spokesperson. McCain plans to design and manufacture vehicle signals, pedestrian signals, traffic controllers, cabinets, programmable CMS signs and advanced transit management systems in the Vista space.
