The 32-story, 868,000 sf 110 William St. is currently 97% occupied. Other tenants include Quick & Reilly, AIG and a few other city agencies. Space in the site is advertised at between $25 and $34 per sf.
Doug Winshall, senior vice president in charge of Trizec's Eastern region, says that despite other sites being available, staying in the building proved to be a logical choice for the EDC. "Given the EDC's role in maintaining downtown Manhattan's viability as an attractive and competitive office submarket, it was logical for the agency to make a longer-term commitment there for its own headquarters."
In addition to 110 William, the Chicago-based Trizec's 7.9 million-sf New York City-area portfolio includes One New York Plaza, the Grace Building and the World Apparel Center at 1411 Broadway. The REIT has ownership interests in and manages a portfolio of 64 office properties totaling approximately 43 million sf concentrated in the metropolitan areas of seven major US cities.
