Deerwood Commerce Center, a 142,420-sf, two-building, dock-height flex/distribution project, is located within Deerwood Business Park, a 72-acre park adjacent to Florida's Turnpike and Southwest 152nd Street.

The 67,949-sf Phase 1 of Deerwood Commerce Center, which was completed in September 2002, is now 100% leased. Tenants include Belmed Infection Control Inc., a Swiss multi-national firm that sells and services infection control devices to the healthcare industry; First Choice Pet Products Inc., a locally based manufacturer and distributor of natural pet food; and Galileo Visions Inc., a locally based manufacturer and distributor of optical items, such as telescopes and microscopes. Rents at Deerwood Commerce Center are quoted at $9 per sf, with a 20% office build-out.

Resource Real Estate Group Inc. of Miami handles leasing and management at the center. International Bank of Miami NA is the construction lender. The developer is Deerwood Commerce Center LLC, whose principals are Robert Lechter and J. Brett Houston.
