The developer is Dallas-based Jackson-Shaw Co. The Las Vegas Renaissance Hotel will rise adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center. The total development cost of the hotel is $100 million.

Renaissance is a full-service high-end brand owned by Marriott International The 15-story hotel will have 548 rooms, of which 30 will be suites. Amenities include 20,000 sf of meeting space, a business center, a pool and fitness spa, and a parking garage. The project architect is HPA Inc. The interior architect is Morrison Seifert Murphy.

Perini Building Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly traded Perini Corp., has built several casinos in the state, including The Colosseum at Caesars Palace; Palms Resort and Casino; Paris Las Vegas; Green Valley Ranch Station; Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas; and Luxor Resort and Casino. Perini plans to complete construction of the Renaissance in February of 2005.

"The Renaissance Hotel is literally just south of the convention center, making it the most convenient and accessible place to stay and conduct business for anyone attending a conference or trade show there.
