Transwestern officials wouldn't disclose or confirm the total or individual selling prices but said Jordan & Skala Engineers Inc. of Atlanta purchased the last available building of 27,004 sf at 5365 Oakbrook Parkway. Atlanta Printing, also an owner-user, bought a 21,631-sf building at 5355 Oakbrook Parkway.

The largest acquisition was made by Oakbrook Corners LLP, a limited partnership formed by John Perlman of Adams & Co. This group acquired six buildings totaling 76,141 sf. All eight buildings were sold in a six-month period.

Transwestern principal Bryan Heller says "the users purchased these buildings at prices well below replacement costs, making Oakbrook Corners a desirable option, versus a lease or build-to-suit."

Transwestern acquired Oakbrook Corners in 2000 for an undisclosed price. Oakbrook Corners LLP was represented by Mark Miller, formerly of King Industrial, and Sally Tennant and Brandon Huft of King Industrial. Jim Palermo of CBRE negotiated for Jordan & Skala engineers. David Nash of Nash Inc. represented Atlanta Printing.
