The consulate staff was operating out of less than 2,000 sf at 4151 Southwest Freeway in Houston and needed expansion room, Mark Pillsbury of Houston's Navisys Group tells GlobeSt.com. He says the 74,165-sf office building at 6700 W. Loop South in Bellaire is located closer to the majority of the estimated 25,000 Hondurans living in Houston. The Houston Consulate, led by Consul General Lastenia Pineda, is one of 10 in the US.

The 97%-occupied, five-building park carries quoted rates ranging $16.50 per sf to $18.50 per sf. Pillsbury represented the building owner, FRM Pin Oak LP of Houston. Bill Spell of Vanguard Commercial Group of Houston represented the consul general in the lease negotiations.
