Buyer Adan and Gladys Vega had their office in a house about two blocks away from the new purchase, 122 Tuam St. in the Montrose area just southwest of the downtown. Not only did they get a new location, but they got a tenant in the seller, Stacy, Fogo & Tough, another locally based law firm.

Randy Mason and L. Michael Wallace, both in the Houston office of Colliers International, represented the seller. Mason tells GlobeSt.com that he received more calls on the six-month listing than any other in his 32-year career. At one time, a tile shop was housed at the address so the building's interior features ornate ceramic tile work. The buyers' broker, Jose Luis Cabria of Stoneburner & Associates in Houston, says the Vegas moved into the bulk of the building and leased a small section to the seller.
