The school for up to 1,000 students in the Village of Sterling Ridge will deliver in August 2005, just in time for the next school term. The acreage is located three-fourths of a mile north of Woodlands Parkway.

"We are pleased that Conroe ISD is moving forward with this project," Joel Deretchin, vice president of residential operations for seller, Woodlands Operating Co. LP, said in a press release. "The district has always been attentive to building new schools to keep pace with the growth of the Woodlands." The Village of Sterling Ridge was developed in 1999.

Conroe ISD has 17 schools in the Woodlands. The grade levels for the new facility have yet to be set, but preliminary plans are targeting kindergarten through grade 6.
