Oceaneering Co. Signs on for 145,000-SF Build-to-Suit

HANOVER, MD-Advanced Technology Group, a division of Oceaneering International Inc., has decided to trade its Prince George’s County digs for slightly larger dwellings in Anne Arundel County. The company will uproot its offices and manufacturing operations and move to a 145,000-sf build-to-suit facility in the Hillside Business Park in mid-2005. Oceaneering tells GlobeSt.com that their current home on Prince George’s Boulevard in Upper Marlboro is about 125,000 sf.

Florida Rock Properties will build the facility at the 60-acre business park, which sits at the intersection of Route 100 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. “Anne Arundel County offers us the ability to consolidate operations into a new, state-of-the-art facility, which will enable us to provide more efficient services for our customers,” says Adtech senior vice president John Kreider. The terms of Adtech’s leasing agreement with FRP have not been disclosed, but a vacant new facility in the park is currently being marketed at $5.75 per sf. Colliers Pinkard, handles leasing for the business park and represented FRP in the transaction, while Studley stood in for the tenant.
