When all is said and done in March, the airport's new two-story terminal building will provide a 50-seat restaurant, a weather briefing room, a conference room and additional leasable space for pertinent commercial establishments such as flight schools, sales offices, and the like. Funds from the leasing of that commercial space, which is being marketed at just under $25 per sf, will help pay for the renovation project. The rest of the development funds come from a $1 million gift from the Virginia Aviation Board.
