Phillip K. Burgess, president of Burgess Properties, represented DeMichealis Properties LLC Inc., an affiliate of State Garden Celery, in the transaction. Synthon Industries was represented by Mark Gottesman of NAI Hunneman Commercial.

Burgess emphasizes that the deal exemplifies the escalating demand in the city for food processing space. "The building provides our client with space for immediate expansion, and the five acres of land that are part of the property provides them with room for future growth," says Burgess, adding that this and other recent food-related deals serve as examples of Chelsea's being in demand for processing space. "Many companies in all aspects of food production, from bakeries to produce distribution and meat processing seem to be experiencing growth spurts right now," he notes. It truly is one of the few local bright spots in our economy."
