Clear Channel Crafts 50,000-SF Consolidation

HOUSTON-After a yearlong search, Clear Channel signs a long-term lease for 2000 West Loop, a 357,000-sf high-rise with all the technological bells and whistles needed by the eight radio stations coming in from three locations in town.

HOUSTON-Clear Channel Broadcasting has put final signatures on a 50,000-sf, long-term lease for eight radio stations as the next step to a consolidation of three locations.

The move to 2000 West Loop in the Galleria begins this summer, Michelle McDonald, principal in the Austin-based Media Realty Partners, tells GlobeSt.com. McDonald, representing the media group at the bargaining table, says Clear Channel is still undecided about whether to bring 30,000 sf at 3050 Post Oak to the sublease market or have another Clear Channel group move in. Other move-ins will come from a 5,426-sf mansion recently sold in Montrose and a nearby 12,342-sf office building that’s still on the market. Andre Granello, Mary Dadura and Randy Wilhelm, all in the Houston office of NAI Partners Commercial, are handling the Clear Channel disposition.
