In the lease's first year, IEC Inc. in Houston took over a 40,700-sf building at 4514 Brittmoore Rd., and then will get keys in the second year to an 8,300-sf structure, John Simons in CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Houston office tells GlobeSt.com. And, he says, the deal was struck within two months of the listing coming to market. Empty for quite awhile, the building was marketed at 30 cents per sf net.
Simons and CBRE's Billy Gold represented the property owners, Chapman & Cole of Houston, in the negotiations. John Ferruzzo and Will Swanson, both with NAI Partners Commercial in Houston, represented the engineering and design firm, which services the land and offshore drilling industries.
