Construction on the building, which houses 27 municipal employees, is expected to be finished by this summer. The building houses a wide range of city offices, including the police department.
The project is being paid for by Auburn Hills‚ Tax Increment Finance Authority, which collects excess property tax funds from a designated district and uses the money to make city improvements. Rochester-based architect Gerald J. Yurk Associates designed the addition.
