NEW YORK CITY-The Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations renews its 33,000-sf lease at a reduced rent four years before the current lease expiration.

NEW YORK CITY-The Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations first approached its landlord at One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza a year and a half ago about renewing its lease, CBRE’s Snezana Anderson, who negotiated on behalf of France with colleagues Bernard Weinstabel and Michael Laginestra, tells GlobeSt.com. “The landlord didn’t react.” Then when they went to secure another option, “the landlord heard of the deal and approached us. It shows how much the market has changed.”

The mission has renewed its 33,000-sf lease at for an additional six years at “reduced rent over the next four years,” Anderson point out. The mission renewed with four years before its current deal expired. The ownership of One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza was self represented.
