DeGrilla will team with industrial leasing services associate Mindy Pierce to lease up the 1.8-million-sf Dr. Phillips portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties in the metro area. DeGrilla comes to Advantis from Alliance Management Consultants in Orlando where he taught clients negotiation skills, says Ted O'Connell, managing director for the Central Florida offices of Advantis/GVA. "He brings a wealth of experience to our organization," O'Connell says.

DeGrilla is a former senior broker in the local offices of Grubb & Ellis Co., Welsh Cos., Pizzuti Cos. and Trammell Crow Co. He helped cement the 1990s merger of Charlotte, NC-based Faison Associates and Trammell Crow, O'Connell says. DeGrilla holds real estate licenses in Florida, Texas and California where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at California State University at San Francisco.
