Banking Firm Sets Up Shop at One Columbus Center

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA-The 135,000-sf tower known as One Columbus Center–which, at 11 stories high, will carry the distinction of being Virginia Beach’s only class A office high-rise until completion of the sprawling Town Center project–has brought a new tenant on board now that TransCommunity Bankshares has signed on to occupy 4,200 sf. Developed in 1982, One Columbus Center occupies a highly visible spot in the city’s central business district, across from the Pembroke Mall. The building will actually be encompassed by the $350 million mixed-use Town Center development currently under way.

Specific terms of the bank holding company’s lease agreement with property manager and leasing agent Divaris Real Estate Inc. have not been disclosed, but space in the building is marketed at $20 per sf. Divaris acted on behalf of owners Battlefield Associates One LLC and Columbus One, while CB Richard Ellis stood in for TransCommunity.
