Home Depot to Open in Macomb Township

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI-The Home Depot is opening its 64th Michigan location this week in a store that will total 102,513 sf.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI-The Home Depot will open its 64th Michigan store this week in a new 102,513 sf location on Hall Road, at Heydenreich, in Macomb Township. The store, which will employ about 120 people with an annual payroll of $4 million, also includes an attached 25,000 sf outdoor garden center. “We’re just thrilled about this new store,” says John Mullen, regional VP for Home Depot. “Being our newest store in Michigan, it really is the finest example of what we have to offer consumers and contractors. If you think you know Home Depot, you’re in for a surprise.”

“Creating 120 new jobs with more than $4 million in annual payroll is a testament to the strength of the economy here and a major vote of confidence in the community,” Mullen continues. “But what really sets us apart is the service and expertise from the people who work here,” says Rob McCarthy, store manager of the new location. “We earn about a third of our sales from professional contractors, and if we can answer their questions, we can answer anybody’s.”
