Allina to Unveil Corporate HQ Decision

MINNEAPOLIS-The consolidation site is likely to be the former Sears Roebuck complex on Lake Street, where Allina would put its 250,000 sf headquarters complex.

MINNEAPOLIS-The Allina Hospitals & Clinics board of directors will unveil the new location for its 250,000-sf corporate headquarters on Wednesday. The healthcare management organization has been mulling sites in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Roseville. This decision will consolidate Allina’s corporate offices in 13 different locations throughout the Twin Cities.

Speculation is that Allina will choose the Minneapolis site-—the former Sears building at the intersection of Lake Street and Chicago Avenue. Allina officials say they favored the site, as long as access was improved. The city recently approved adding a Lake Street access ramp to Interstate 35W, arguing that having Allina as a major tenant would spur revitalization of the East Lake Street corridor.
