The new store is due to open in October. Ralph Lauren had a Polo store in the mall's north side, but that store closed in January. A previous Ralph Lauren store was open at the mall from 1996-99.
Brooks Brothers will be almost doubling its space at the mall. The menswear store is building a 7,000-sf mezzanine in its existing 7,500-sf store in the mall's south side. During the construction work, Brooks Brothers has moved into temporary space on the north side of the mall.
New York-based Tommy Bahama will open a men's and women's sportswear store on the south side of the mall this spring. Also, the Cafe Jardin in the center of the south side of the mall's first floor will close by the end of March.
The mall itself is going to make some changes as well, brginning with a renovated main entrance. Somerset Collection will also change the space into a seating area with a fountain and statues. The stage will be removed and replaced with a larger concierge desk, tables and chairs. A piano will be added for live music and the fountain will be resurfaced.
