The school has bought 14 of the 25 houses on the block between Juno and Randolph on the south and north, and Fairview and Wheeler on the west and east. The school also recently bought the Mississippi Market, a cooperative natural foods store at 1810 Randolph just east of Fairview.
No construction dates have been set, and it may still take awhile to put all the pieces together, according to school officials. The school is also talking to nearby College of St. Catherine's about sharing some sports facilities--for instance, allowing the college to use its hockey arena in exchange for the high school using the college's swimming pool.
