• The sale of 107 acres to Poudre Valley Health System to build Medical Center of the Rockies, a $220 million regional medical facility featuring heart, trauma, and emergency services. MCR's initial phase will have a 550,000 sf. hospital and 80,000-sf. medical office building, plus expansion capabilities of up to 1.2 million sf. Construction is scheduled to start in April and will be completed spring 2006.

• A joint venture agreement with Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers to build the Shops at Centerra, with an initial phase of 700,000 sf. Tenants include Foley's, Gaylan's, P.F. Chang's, Barnes & Noble, and a 14- to 16-screen stadium movie theater. The Shops at Centerra is currently under construction and scheduled to open August 2005.

• The announcement that Heska Corp., a developer of health products for dogs and cats, will relocate to Centerra. Construction on their 65,000-sf headquarters build-to-suit is scheduled for fall of 2004. Also, centerra was the number-one selling residential master-planned community in Northern Colorado, according to The Genesis Group (with 139 units sold in 2002).
