Metaldyne Expands Operations in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, MI-A local automotive supplier has opened a new 27,000-sf facility near its headquarters here.

PLYMOUTH, MI-Auto supplier Metaldyne has opened a 27,000-sf technical center here dedicated to the company’s Chassis Group. The new facility will house Chassis Group personnel including finance, human resources, product engineering, program management, quality and testing. Metaldyne is a designer and supplier of metal-based components, assemblies and modules for the automotive industry.

The new building is located in the same office park as the company’s corporate headquarters and Group Operations and Technical Center. The new technical center will allow the Chassis Group to expand its design and development capabilities by adding new testing equipment and increasing floor space. The 13,000-sf test lab will serve as the design and development center for products such as chassis suspension components, wheel-end assemblies, ball joints and control arms.
