The new first VP is LaDonna Boyd, the economic development director at Dakota Electric Association in Farmington, MN. The new second VP is Nancy Norr, manager of community and economic development at Minnesota Power, an Allete Co. located in Duluth.
New directors include Curt Milburn, project director of the Phalen Corridor and executive director of the East Side Area Business Association (ESABA) in St. Paul, and Marc Nevinski, who manages economic development and redevelopment activities for the City of Coon Rapids, MN. They were elected to three-year terms on EDAM's board of directors. Nevinksi says that EDAM has really developed itself over the past several years by establishing the EDAM Foundation, the membership recruitment are great examples.
"I hope that serving on the board as well as co-chairing the legislative committee will help strengthen EDAM's legislative efforts," Nevinski says. EDAM, with more than 400 members who represent private enterprise, local and regional economic development agencies, chambers of commerce and utilities, serves economic development professionals throughout Minnesota.
