Signing a long-term lease, the firm, which also has an office in Austin, doubled the operations area in a relocation from 50 Briar Hollow Lane. Michelle Wogan with the Houston office of CB Richard Ellis Inc. tells GlobeSt.com that Partners Lend America wanted to expand as well as upgrade its image by moving into a class A building. Also, the location of 1616 Voss, nestled just inside the 610 Loop, worked well for the tenant.

Owned by Unilev Capital Corp. of Beverly Hills, CA, the 179,061-sf asset was acquired last fall in a portfolio purchase of three Galleria-area buildings. The 24-year-old building is 82% occupied. Its quoted rate is $18.21 per sf. Charles Scovill with Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Houston office represented the building owner.
