The project will consist of offices, retail space and residential units, according to Henry Pino, founder and president of Strategic Properties. Pino could not be reached for details about the size of the project. The project is planned to be similar to another Strategic Properties development at 4300 Biscayne Blvd. The company closed on this two-acre parcel late last year and plans to turn a 42,000-sf office building into office condos and add approximately 170 residential units.
Pino is a former partner in charge of company operations for the South Florida-based developer BAP Development Inc., but he left the company to form his own firm, which pursues targeted urban in-fill mixed-use development opportunities.
