John Talhelm with Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc.'s Houston office tells GlobeSt.com that the tenant has occupied the freestanding, crane-served building about eight years. The firm specializes in painting commercial properties, with its project list including the George Bush Intercontinental Airport and other Houston landmarks. Talhelm says Lonestar operates a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly painting facility on the four-acre property.

Talhlem and Kevin Erck, also in C&W's Houston office, represented the building owner, Abe Moore of Houston in the negotiations while the tenant handled its side of the deal in-house. According to Talhelm, the area, which has a large inventory of crane-served industrial buildings, has quoted rates from 35 cents per sf to 40 cents per sf.
