Loeks also wants permission to build a 95,000 sf office building on 10 acres north of Celebration Village and wants a road that would connect Celebration Village with the 10 acres to the north. If approved, Reminga fears the connector road would dump extra traffic into Celebration Village and endanger the millions of dollars he and partners invested there.
Reminga's attorney, David Smith, told planning commissioners that revisions to development planned for the land north of the entertainment complex should have been classified as a "major change"-- requiring a notice be sent to Reminga and other adjoining property owners. Smith noted if the connecting road were approved, it could connect the complex with more acreage farther north, potentially exposing it to traffic generated by as much as 350,000 sf of possible office space.
