One Library Circle Project Garners DRA

SAN DIEGO-The Centre City Development Corp.'s board of directors grants design review approval for the One Library Circle mixed-use project, which has been proposed by Doug Austin. The project is slated to include 119 condominiums; 17,200 sf of retail space; and 240 parking spaces upon completion.

SAN DIEGO-The One Library Circle development that Doug Austin has proposed for Downtown’s East Village neighborhood has moved one step closer to reality, as the Centre City Development Corp.’s board of directors has granted design approval for the project in a vote of six to one.

With construction scheduled to begin in June, the One Library Circle project is slated to rise on the northeast corner of Park Boulevard and K Street. Design plans call for 118 condominiums, 17,200 sf of retail space and 240 parking spaces. Architectural firm Austin Veum Robbins and Parshalle, which Doug Austin heads as chairman and CEO, has designed One Library Circle. Upon completion, the mixed-use facility will stand 43 stories high, which will make it the tallest structure to be built thus far in the East Village, CCDC officials say. Buildout of One Library Circle is expected to occur in June 2006, according to the CCDC website.
