Fruitland Plaza Gets New Management Team

FRUITLAND, MD-A new management team has come onboard to spearhead operations at the grocery-anchored shopping center known as Fruitland Plaza. The property owner, a partnership boasting Cherri LLC as the lead, has chosen Bethesda, MD-based JBG Rosenfeld Retail to handle management and leasing activity at the 100,000-sf property. JBGR tells GlobeSt.com that the company is taking the assignment from Long and Foster Real Estate in Salisbury, MD.

Built in 1973 and renovated in 1999, Fruitland Plaza has a Food Lion grocery store and Diamond Furniture store for anchors. The property is 70% occupied, and other tenants include fitness center Curves, Dollar General and Power Kicks Karate. For JBGR, the new assignment marks the leasing, management and development company’s first foray into the Eastern Shore market. “We are confident our longstanding relationships with retailers and brokers in other markets will serve us well as we embark on a leasing campaign for the center,” JBGR Principal Grant Ehat notes.
