BROOKLYN, NY-Federal Jeans is expanding in the boroughs and will invest more than $20 million in two light manufacturing and warehouse distribution centers. The investment effort is also expected to create approximately 200 new jobs.

The importer, manufacturer and distributor of denim products, which has been here since 1999, plans to build one facility in the Bronx and the other in Queens. With the help of the city’s Economic Development Commission, the company will develop a 118,000-sf site in the Zerega Industrial Park in the Bronx. The company plans to invest $10.5 million in the effort to construct the one-story warehouse on a currently vacant lot owned by the city. Approximately 103,000 sf will be allocated for warehouse use and the rest will be for office space.
