The C&A lease is the only lease in Germany announced this year. So far this year, most of the company's European action has been seen in France, where ProLogis has some 74 acres available for development. In January, ProLogis announced three lease deals totaling more than 750,000 sf.

The largest of the three was with Darty, a leading French retailer of electrical supplies that signed a 467,110-sf build-to-suit agreement at ProLogis Industrial Park Isle d'Abeau in Lyon, France. The transaction is one of the largest build-to-suit agreements in France over the last 12 months.

At ProLogis Park Evry located on the outskirts of Paris, the tire manufacturer Bridgestone leased 245,611 sf, and at ProLogis Park Arras near the port city of Lille, the pharmaceutical distribution company Depolabo expanded its lease commitment by 98,382 sf for a total of 280,000 sf.
