"Red Roof Inns has re-imagined the ordinary in every detail of the room," says Michael Saarty, manager of architectural services for Accor, the French company that owns of Red Roof Inns and a number of other North American hospitality brands. Renovation of nine Baltimore Red Roof Inns, five Columbus Inns and eight Washington D.C. Inns was completed in June 2003.
The company plans to complete its nationwide effort with "Red's New Rooms" over the next several years. The Red Roofs Inns to be renovated in the Detroit area are in Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Belleville, Farmington Hills, Madison Heights, Plymouth, Rochester Hills, Roseville, Southfield, Taylor, Troy and Warren.
