Mass Court carries the address of 300 Massachusetts Ave., and at 14 stories high, it towers over the corner of Third and H streets. SK&I Architectural Design Group LLC designed the building to incorporate three rehabilitated historic townhouse structures, and to occupy a neighboring spot that had been home to a parking lot. In addition to the residential units, the building features a full-service fitness center on the first floor, a community clubroom, a business center and a parking facility.

The apartment property is just one of many that are being developed in the East End segment of Downtown, near the MCI Center sports and entertainment center, where the residential element has been sorely lacking. Now developers and retailers are turning their attention toward the area, which is on its way to becoming a new live-work-play destination. Other such multifamily developments in the area include the 400-unit Jefferson at Penn Quarter, and the 200-unit Avalon at Gallery Place. Mass Court will be ready for occupancy by all residents early this summer.
