"Over the past year, we have pursued a number of successful investment strategies here in Florida, and we intend to expand RGDC's operations in the state as the local, state and national economies improve," Jones says in a statement. "We are excited about Florida's growth prospects and plan to take advantage of a growing number of opportunities in the marketplace."

Jones has more than 30 years' commercial real estate experience, during which he has managed, leased, sold, syndicated and developed commercial properties. He joined Rockefeller Group Development Corp. in 2001 as director of Florida operations when its first Florida office was established on Brickell Avenue in Miami. The company recently relocated its Florida headquarters to the 70-story Offices at Four Seasons Hotel and Tower, also on Brickell Avenue.

Jones other commercial real estate positions in Miami have included managing Cushman & Wakefield's South Florida offices for six years. He is a graduate of Stetson University and has a certified property manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
