Jones Moves Up Ladder at RGDC

MIAMI-Rockefeller Group Development Corp. has promoted Edgar C. Jones Jr., a veteran South Florida real estate executive, to senior director of Florida operations. Jones is responsible for marketing, leasing and developing the company’s current projects in South Florida and identifying new opportunities for the company in Florida.

“Over the past year, we have pursued a number of successful investment strategies here in Florida, and we intend to expand RGDC’s operations in the state as the local, state and national economies improve,” Jones says in a statement. “We are excited about Florida’s growth prospects and plan to take advantage of a growing number of opportunities in the marketplace.”

Jones has more than 30 years’ commercial real estate experience, during which he has managed, leased, sold, syndicated and developed commercial properties. He joined Rockefeller Group Development Corp. in 2001 as director of Florida operations when its first Florida office was established on Brickell Avenue in Miami. The company recently relocated its Florida headquarters to the 70-story Offices at Four Seasons Hotel and Tower, also on Brickell Avenue.
