Manulife Building Wins Top BOMA Award

ORLANDO-Manulife Financial’s three-building, 350,000-sf Westwood Corporate Center in south Orlando has been judged the best-managed office complex in Central Florida. BOMA Orlando also named Laura Ragans, manager of the building at 6675 Westwood Blvd., Property Manager of the Year at the organization’s third annual TOBY Awards banquet at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.

Toronto-based Manulife acquired Westwood Corporate Center in 1996 and developed Phase III in 2000. The property was judged best in the suburban office park low-rise category and also won BOMA’s new award, Best of the Best. TOBY stands for The Office Building of the Year.

“This award is intended to grant special recognition to the property management team that boasts the highest total score of the combined portfolio and site inspection scores, irrespective of category type,” BOMA corporate communications chief Michael Lewis tells GlobeSt.com.
