Escobar has more than 20 years' experience in commercial, residential and hospitality design. According to Escobar, the lobby areas are designed for residents to use them as an extension of their personal living areas. "We took the chic New York style and infused it with a Miami touch using airy, pale colors and a stunning water feature that has a mirage effect," says Escobar. "The spaces are minimalistic in essence, but a lot is going on. For example, the ceiling has a ripple effect treatment to look like a wave and draperies replace open areas for a theatric effect."

Escobar founded Andres Escobar & Associates in 1992. His more than 200 projects include the Guess flagship store in Toronto, many New York condominium projects for the Corcoran Group, Cisco Systems' Montreal offices, and a boutique hotel renovation in New Delhi, India.
