Broadcast, studio, technical and office space for "60 Minutes," and "60 Minutes II" occupy one and a half floors, while studios and offices for "BET" and "Inside Edition," as well as other programs take up the rest of the space. Viacom, which acquired CBS in 1999 for $50 billion, is SL Green's largest tenant, occupying more than 1.2 million sf in headquarters space at 1515 Broadway.
SL Green SVP Steven Durels says the company's strategically located properties are well suited for large tenants like CBS and Viacom. Scott Gottlieb and Michael R. Laginestra, who both hold the title vice chairman at CB Richard Ellis, represented CBS. Other 555 West 57th tenants include Ticketmaster, Writer's Guild of America East and BMW of Manhattan.
