Enclave says the building was attractive because of its construction and data center infrastructure and its location in relation to communications networks. "We are developing multi-tenant data centers that provide all of the cost benefits of a shared data center, but which give customers 100% control of their own private data center suite," says G. Gabriel Cole, CEO of Enclave, a real estate owner and operator of data center properties.
"New England Development saw a unique opportunity to apply a real estate-based model to the data center marketplace," says Gregory Sullivan, executive vice president of corporate development at New England Development. Enclave is backed by the principals of New England Development, a locally based real estate and development company. "In addition, we believe that there is tremendous value in owning the underlying real estate and being able to grant customers leases on their data center suites that run directly to the property and which can protect them from the failure of third-party operators."
Enclave says its data center will focus on integrated facility and infrastructure operations and deployment services for Global 1000, government, xSP, and network provider customers.
