SAN DIEGO-With Downtown’s renaissance in full swing, restaurateurs continue to flock to available space here. Two recent examples involve Luna Lounge and Cohn Restaurants, which have taken a total of 8,008 sf of Downtown space in separate transactions valued at approximately $3.5 million combined.

In the larger of the two deals, Luna Lounge has inked a $2.6-million lease for retail space in the Julian Building, which stands at 639 J St. The tenant, which is leasing the space from Julian Building LLC, will open a restaurant specializing in Pan-Asian dishes in its 6,200-sf space. Luna Lounge plans to move into its new location at the corner of Seventh Avenue & K Street in November of this year.
